Happy New Year! Yes, I am still alive

Still eating too much ice cream.

Nom nom nom

Still playing the ultimate drama queen.

Please rescue me from my own fabulousness

Still sort of strange and unpredictable.

But still just as cute as a button! Fiddle-dee-dee!

What? I can't pull this off?

What? I can’t pull this off?

But now, things are much MUCH different than they used to be.  New town, new home, new job…where I actually have to WORK ALL DAY!!!!!

How can I be of service today, Mr. Valued Customer?

How can I be of service today, Mr. Valued Customer?

I’m loving every minute of it.  We finally met our goal of moving and starting over.  Our old home is lovely, but needs a little love.  My job keeps me so busy I have no time to blog at all.  In fact, today, on my day off, I am preparing for not JUST the Nebraska Property & Casualty exam to get my insurance license, BUT working on a business plan for a district manager as well.  If I have time, I think I’ll finally unpack and organize my huge new sewing room.

I want to wish all of my friends, readers, pen pals and total strangers who accidentally find their way here a very Happy New Year.  I hope when things calm down I will be able to stop by here and leave some words of questionable wisdom for all of you like I used to do.

The Cheeky Diva blog has been so many things to me, and I miss it terribly.  The writing, the connecting, the positive responses from readers are just the beginning.  It kept my brain from turning to mush as I wasted my life sitting in a corner at a job that made me miserable.  It introduced me to some of the most wonderful people I’ve never met, who have now become close friends.  It built my confidence and made me feel good about myself and my abilities, and that hadn’t happened for a very long time.

So, to all of my pals, you’ll never know how much I’ve learned from you and how much you mean to me.  Now shut up and let me get back to work.  Don’t you all have something better to do than read this crap?

Much love and beeg, beeg keeses to you all.

    • Hi Jackie! Yes, Maddie and I try to keep tabs on each other, even though we are both very busy. Thanks so much for thinking of me enough to ask, and happy new year to you as well. Take care!

  1. So nice to see your face! Especially with a tub of ice cream!

I’m so happy things are going well for you. Good luck with your exam. You’ll have your own billboard in no time. 🙂 Have a wonderful New Year, Julie!

      • Are you kidding! You have to use the happy picture of you in the playground car. After all, you are in the insurance industry.

You know, that’s actually a really good idea. Wouldn’t you call the number on the billboard of the person looking so happy and having fun – rather than a mug in a suit? 😉 Break some new ground, Julie!

    • Right back atcha. Have you done any photoshopping lately? There was a great picture taken of us on Christmas, but Eric was sitting directly in front of a construction paper reindeer on the wall. The antlers directly lined up with his head. When I saw it, I couldn’t help but think of you and what you’ve done to people’s faces in the past. Ha ha! Nice to hear from you. 🙂

Well.....let's hear it!
